Long Stay Visa for RELIGIOUS OR HUMANITARIAN ACTIVITIES (D/RU)

 

Each applicant for a visa must submit these forms, documentation and fees as explained below:

 

1. One completed in block capitals application form D for each person traveling. Answer all questions accurately, indicate your contact telephone number, and please sign the form. For children the visa request form will be signed by the parents or legal guardian, and the signatures will be notarized by a local notary public;

 

2. Passport or travel document valid for at least six months beyond the period of your estimated stay in Romania and a copy of the relevant pages from your passport, showing pages with personal data, validity and issued authority. At least one blank page should be available in your passport in order to affix the visa sticker. If the applicant holds no national passport, then a return permit to the country that issued the applicant's travel papers must be valid for six months past the visa expiration date;

 

3. One recent color photo 3 cm x 4 cm, which should be taken against a white background, full face with both ears visible. Head coverings and hats are only acceptable due to religious beliefs, and even then, may not obscure any portion of the face of the applicant. Sunglasses or other accessories detracting from the face as defined above are not acceptable;

 

4. Your permanent resident card issued by the Government of Canada, Record of Landing, employment authorization or student authorization, if you are from one of the countries listed in annex 2 and have the residence in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta or British Columbia;

 

5. Evidence, as the case may be, of the approval of the Ministry of Culture and Cults or the Interdepartmental Commission for the co-ordination and support of the humanitarian activities within the Ministry of Health and Family;

 

6. Evidence of the acknowledgement that you are a representative of religion recognized by the Romanian State or that of a humanitarian organization;

 

7. Evidence of financial coverage of living and accommodation expenses to the extent of at least three national-average monthly wages;

 

8. Police clearance certificate or other document of the same legal value;

 

9. Medical insurance (accident or hospital charges) for the duration of visa validity and the proof that you are not suffering from diseases which may endanger the public health;

 

10. Self-addressed stamped envelope (postage for registered mail, Xpresspost, FedEx). The consulate is not liable for lost passports;

 

11. Application fee

 

Please note that you must provide an original and a copy of each of the above-mentioned documents.

 

Consular officers may request additional information or documentation depending on their assessment of each person’s situation.

 

Please make sure that:

  • you have answered clearly all of the required questions on the form(s)
  • signed and dated the form(s) where asked
  • you have all the documents required, originals and copies
  • you make your application in due time.

 

Incomplete visa application will be returned to you without processing.
